Emory Healthcare’s Hybrid Emergency Services.

With Olla HybridCare, Emory Healthcare’s Emergency Services is expanding patient access through seamless virtual and in-person care. Available on-demand.

Vision

Leverage the strength of Emory Healthcare’s ER footprint and emergency physicians to drive forward their mission of expanding access to care across the state of Georgia. A model was envisioned to unify in-person and virtual care for acute needs & follow-ups.

Challenge

Attempts to enable digital touchpoints across the service using existing tools was falling short of meeting the goals.

The current technology was adding additional barriers for patients and increasing the complexity of their provider and administration workflows.

Outcomes

With Olla HybridCare, Emory’s Emergency Services is accessed and delivered seamlessly across all digital and in-person touchpoints. Removing friction for patients and improving workflows for doctors.

The hybrid ED line of service drew excitement from many stakeholders, including the Emory emergency rooms facing daily overcrowding, the Emory nurse hotline, rural hospital partners, self-insured employers, and 911 emergency responders.
